Will You Let Mark Zuckerberg’s Algorithm Babysit Your Children?

Researchers are testing Mark Zuckerberg’s new Metaverse Virtual Reality and algorithm, what we’re learning is that children are being exposed to a cesspool of toxic content. Allegations include hate speech, sexual inuendos, virtual rape, and child sexual grooming in VR chat rooms. One woman reported being “virtually raped” by a male avatar while other avatars watched and cheered him on, passing around a bottle of virtual vodka. This digital reality is designed so that the mind and body cannot differentiate digital experiences from real experiences. Therefore, being virtually exploited psychologically feels as though it actually happened.

The Metaverse platform and others alike are allowing the sexualization of children. Researchers performed tests that concluded that there is one infringement of the rules every seven minutes in the VR chats. These infringements include extreme hate speech and sexual grooming, mostly with minors present. This is a dangerous and toxic environment for our children and we must be proactive as parents to protect our children from these evils.
